Angell Conwell Biography

The gorgeous and talented Angell Conwell was born August 2nd 1983.Angell has been an up and coming talent since her early days on the CBS sitcom 'Dave's World'. That was just the beginning of things to come for Angell. She had been guest starring in several tv shows which lead to her movie career. She played a role in John Singleton's "Baby Boy", playing Omar Goodings girl. She was also in 'The Wash' where she played the sexy cashier, Antionette. Angell has also played the cousin of Raven on the hit Disney show 'That's So Raven'. Angell is not set to doing several upcoming movies in 2007. Movies like 'Portal', Queen of Media, Half Past Dead 2, Show Stoppers and Confessions.

Angell has also made guest appearance in Music Videos. She was in 'You're the One' with Guerilla Black. Angell was looking HOT in that video. Her latest music video appearance is with Cherish in 'Unappreciated'. I've always been a big fan of Angell and she is sooo cool peoples. Not to mention, her body is amazing! Can't wait to see what this year bring Angell.

CC: How old where you when you got started in the industry?

Angell: I modeled locally, in South Carolina since I was at least 4 or 5. I then took the modeling to New York and Atlanta. We had our fair share of struggling but by the time I was 10 my mother and I had moved to the City of Angels to get my acting career on the move. It was a huge step. I'm lucky to have a mama who believes in me :) I got my first show, Daves World on CBS playing Meshach Taylors daughter several months later. And did a pilot with Salt N Pepa in 1994 playing Pepa's daughter.

CC: Who are your role models and who has helped you the most along the way.

Angell: I'm inspired by different folks for different reasons. My mother is strong and supportive, I love that about her. My dad is talented in many different ways, I love that about him. I'm motivated by talented black actresses that have broken down barriers...Halle, Viv, Angela, Phylicia Rashad...oh so many!

CC: What role did you have the most fun doing?

Angell: I had a blast on Soul Plane. I made a lot of friends and had an awesome awesome 20th birthday party at The Shelter during the filming of that one. Everyone was hilarious and I enjoyed each individual personality.

CC:If you weren't modeling or acting, what would you be doing?

Angell: Hmmm... Wowee...Designing clothes ( which I am doing now) or maybe a make-up artist. It's amazing to see people transform right in front of your eyes.

CC:Who is your favorite person that you have worked with and why?

Angell: I have a long list of favorites.... Method Man is genuine and fun, Dj Pooh is a cool person, Sofia is my homegirl, Gary Anthony Williams makes me laugh for days, Omar Gooding is a true talent, Little X is a genius... I told you I had a long list :) And there's waayy more. But that should do for now.

CC: In a lot of your roles, you play the eye candy in the movie or music videos. Do you ever get tired of being a sex symbol?

Angell: I just notice that people like to put you in certain categories and hold you accountable for them at all times. People feel that if you look half way decent you must not be talented which is not always accurate. I know and the people closest to me know that I have so much more to me than the "sex symbolism". And when the time is right...so will others. But it's flattering too! When you're talented enough and have enough opportunity to show the world...they can't deny you. And if they do... Hey! You can't please everybody.

CC: You are seen briefly, in Usher's new video Confessions. What was it like working with Usher?

Angell: Very briefly, right! Hahaha :) Blink and you will most definitely miss it. Usher is focused, driven and intelligent. The man is doing his dang thang. You gotta respect that.

CC: When you have a bad day, what do you do to relax?

Angell: I've just discovered that washing dishes helps me relax. Weird...I know. The gym calms me down also. But nothing is better than some good ol' SLEEP!

CC: For your 21st birthday party, did you have a great time?

Angell: I had a great 21st birthday day...my whole day and night was great. Some of my good friends showed up to my party and some didn't but I got a lot of phone calls and flowers. So, I felt special. I had a bowling party and maybe knocked down 3 pins the whole night. It was funny.

CC: What can we see from you in the future?

Angell: So much... I am just getting started. Romantic comedies, sitcoms, clothing line...and much more ( I sound like a dand on advertisement) but really... the best has yet to come.
