What are some of your current music projects?
Ms Cris: I am releasing my EP Everybody Hates Cris Vol.1 in February! You can also check me out on Rapper Big Pooh's second solo album Dirty PrettyThings, which released late last year.
What are some of your goals you want to accomplish?
Ms Cris: This year I hope to make a breakthrough as an artist and model. I know with hard work it can happen.
When did you first fall in love with music and wanting to take it to the next level?
Ms Cris: Since I was a little girl I've always had a love for music, but I limited myself to just expressing my love for it through dance (ballet and hip hop). Once I got to high school I got more into songwriting and poetry, even going as far forming a girl group. Even then, I knew I was best fit to be a solo artist. It wasn't until around the age of 19, that I thought to myself it's time to amp it up and get really serious about making music a career for myself. From there I started networking and seeing about getting in studios to make my dream a reality. If it's not through song, I'm expressing my love for music through dance and my paintings. There's no way of getting away from it.
How would you best describe your personality?
Ms Cris: I'm a little bit quirky, which I would think makes me intriguing. My creativity, drive and loyalty stands out the most.
What are some of your guilty pleasures?
Ms Cris: Vanilla ice cream with a slice pie or cake on the side! I would devour a bowl of it every night if I could.
Who do you look up to most in the modeling industry?
Ms Cris: There are a couple ladies I look up to, but I have studied the moves of the models that have used modeling as a stepping stone and expanded into other industries.
What can people expect from your new EP EVERYBODYHATESCRIS Vol.1?
Ms Cris: Expect to get a feel who I am. I really want people to see me as not only a pretty face but an artist. I worked with a lot of talented people to make this project come to life, and I'm ready for what's next to come.
What was your most memorable shoot or show that you have done?
Ms Cris: The most memorable shoot I have done is with spksmen.com, it was definitely different from other shoots I have done in the past. It showed another side of myself.
What type of music/artist do you like to listen to?
Ms Cris: My music collection is very eclectic. I listen to everything from Daft Punk and Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Biggie and Jay-Z. The artists I absolutely admire though are Kelis, Pharrell, Missy, and Kanye West. I respect artists that are innovative.
What is something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Ms Cris: That I'm college educated. I will be graduating in May with my Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.
What are some of your turns-ons and turn-offs.
Ms Cris: I definitely can't tolerate someone who is a liar. Keep it 100. Why lie?! I have NO time for that sucka s#*t! I am turned on by someone who is about their business. I love someone who has a smart hustle. Go-getters get the cheese!

Bios
Born and raised in the city of Detroit, Ms.Cris' love affair with visual and performing arts sparked at an early age. "I remember as young as 5-years-old taking ballet, tap, and jazz dance classes throughout the week, and then later in my elementary-school-years taking intro to art courses at Center for Creative Studies."
In 2006, Ms.Cris moved to North Carolina to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Public Relations at North Carolina A&T State University. It wasn't until after moving from Michigan that she started getting curious about modeling. In 2007, she graced the pages of Cool C's Below Zero Hair Magazine.
After building a bit of an online buzz with her new venture into modeling, Cris felt this was an ample opportunity to really get her feet wet in music. She always had an aspiration to record and perform as a solo rap artist, after being part of a group back in Detroit while she was in high school.
Through her networking skills she was able to link with some of the best in the business based in North Carolina and elsewhere. From that point, she was requested to feature on Rapper Big Pooh of Little Brother's solo mixtape The Purple Tape (Jan 2010) and album Dirty Pretty Things (Nov 2011).
With a style that is very eclectic, the 23-year-old budding star is influenced by an extensive list of artists and genres of music, allowing her sound to be very colorful. Cris is sure to bring the public a sweet new taste of what the entertainment industry is missing with her high energy and bright approach to fashion and music.
When asked what she would like to accomplish most as an artist, she confidently stated, "I hope to encourage others. I want people to remember to live life. Enjoy the good times and the bad. We all have a past but let's look toward the future. Through my paintings and my music I hope to give people a view of my thoughts. Art is a language and if one or more person can relate and interpret what I'm saying, I'm happy."
Ms.Cris is currently working on a music project entitled Everybody Hates Cris.
