Interview with Summer Walker
Where are you from?
Summer Walker: I am from Beaumont, Texas.
What is your ethnicity?
Summer Walker: My mother is creole french, italian and spanish and my father is native american and black.
When were you discovered?
Summer Walker: I was discovered in 2004 by Jay of Hatka Entertainment in Atlanta, GA
Everthing is big in Tx. So what exactly are your measurements?
Summer Walker: My measurements are 36DD-24-39
Your body is Bangin! How do you stay in such great shape??
Summer Walker : Well I just recently got off of the "master cleanse" a couple of months ago and ever since then I keep a set schedule when it comes to gym time and also stay away from specific foods. Cardio for me is very important seeing my background and being so short when I gain weight it seems more than what it really is so I have to be very careful when it comes to watching my weight.
What do you think is your best physical attribute and why?
Summer Walker: As far as my physical attributes I think that I have spent the last couple of months working on becoming proportional. I think my best physical attribute used to be for me my breasts and behind but now I have something that is rare....I have a confident glow and aura about myself. To me this is the most important because no matter what I wear, where I go, make up or no makeup I will always have that confident look and definition in my presence and to me that wins above all. So many women are stacked and have great bodies but we all know that this only goes so far! So when it comes to being able to be noticed even with the simpliest moves is a greater accomplishment than being lusted over for a couple of seconds until the next young girl comes out. True Beauty is everlasting.
Would you ever consider posing for Playboy?
Summer Walker: I think that I wouldnt only because it is a reflection upon me and my family and not just myself. If this is something that I feel I can be supported on then yes but if not no. My family and friends mean as much to me as I mean to myself, because at the end of the day I dont cry on my own shoulder or wipe my own tears alot of the times. So why should I only make a major move or decision by myself? But if I did it would be the most bangin layout ever! lol
Summer, Describe your personality.Tomboy,Diva or just goofy?
Summer Walker: I have to be one of the goofiest people on earth! lol if you ask around to anyone that I have previously worked with they will tell you I am definitely one to leave a lasting positive impression. I really feel that when you go on set and when you meet so many people it is a blessing and everyone's time is precious so when you come together to do great projects and videos and parties its always positive to treat others how you want to be treated. Hours on sets become long and weary so I try to keep a smile on everyones face that is in my vicinity. I know that alot of times people have bad experiences with models and celebrities but whatever God has planned for me he knows that I will always keep a smile on people's faces and always put my best foot forward. Now I have ALWAYS been a tomboy ever since I can remember! lol. I used to play with my older brother and his friends and I loved baseball, in fact, I loved it so much I wanted to play in school and when I did I got SO disappointed that girls played with those huge versions of baseballs. I used to think it was so sexist that we had to throw around a bowling ball lol. Even to this day I will always wear sweats and flip flops and white tees on my days off and also when Im going onset. a pony tail or even a trucker hat (I dont care if they are out of style I do me :)) and I just keep it real simple. Simplicity is the number one sexiest thing on a man's list, because for you to wake up and look exactly the same as you did when you went to sleep is a plus! who wants to wake up next to a ugly girl who looked liked a supermodel when she went to sleep lol
Whats your favorite sports team?
Summer Walker: Actually I am supportive of all teams but of course I have to give it up to the Houston Rockets. It is my town at the moment so I definitely make the games and support!
What are some of your future and current projects??
Summer Walker: Right now I have SOOO much going on as far as in the wraps. I stay hosting events all over and even internationally, I also have a couple of magazines coming out on stands. So two so far is www.kiss-mag.com and www.creamworld.ca so you can check that out so far! But everything else I have to keep underwraps ;)
What do you do to relax?
Summer Walker: I love to read. right now my favorite author is Eric Jerome Dickey and his books are so wonderful and full of suspense and make you really consider that your life situations could be a whole lot worse and more scandalous than you think. I also love music, music is my past time and keeps me grounded. Neo soul artists such as dwele, glenn lewis, amel leurriex, and I love Trey Songz new album.
Do you ever get tired of being a sex symbol?
Summer Walker: I never get tired because right now Im in a stage of evolving. Evolving into a woman that knows just what to do with these positive gifts that I have been so lovely blessed with. Now Im using my mind and my power to help women get to where we belong, and I have gained the patience and knowledge to know that it is going to take one day at a time.
Who do you look up to the most?
Summer Walker: I look up to my mother and Oprah lol. My mother has been through the struggle and understands life but the thing I love most is the fact that she never pushed those lessons onto me. She always showed me options and either I would choose right or choose wrong. These days you cant always just tell someone no or tell someone what you think they should do. Instead give them the info they need to make a choice and let them know the consequences, because learning isnt about perfection. Learning is about taking that knowledge and putting it forth so that you can become a better and more responsible person. Oprah did just that when she built the school in Africa, she knew that our society here and today are so sidetracked that they wouldnt appreciate having a better education so she took it somewhere where they would so that she could do her part to better the world. That to me is what we all should try to do day by day, dont indulge in those that have it all but yet help those who want to be helped and have the will power to physically and mentally become an overall better person.
How do you shake the haters off?
Summer Walker: I dont have to ever shake the haters off. See with me I do me everyday of the week and seeing how driven I am and how confident I stay eventually they get so insecure to the point where they even doubt themselves and their reasons for hating so much! So all I do is sit back, smile and keep doing me and honestly keeping it 100% and consistent lets the haters know that their time is heavily wasted because this woman has too much on her plate to even look down at her feet to see yall staring up looking for her imperfections.
Anything special you would like to say to your fans?
Summer Walker: I just want to say that I know I stay busy but if you have ever written, said hi, emailed, IM'ed or sent me a letter I thank you so so much for all of your compliments and positive gestures. You are the reason that I stay doing what I am doing because a fan is not someone that has to be a fan. A fan is someone who sees something in you that makes you someone in their life that they can look up to, relate to, or just admire and at the end of the day its still their decision no matter how many magazines or photoshoots I do. So it means so much to me when they take out the time to do what they do when they do it. And that is why I dedicate so much time to making sure that I return emails and even try to remember bdays and special occasions and just take moments like these to say that I appreciate them for all that they do and say.
