Blackberry Bold vs. iPhone

hello peeps.

i just got a new blackberry bold a few days ago. i have an offer from my mans best friend for him to give me his brand new iphone for my brand new bb. who says yes who says no? which phone is supposed to be better?? i have a hting for touch phones so i was contemplating doing it but i like this phone so far too so im stuck.

help me. & i beg you, PLEASE, no one start an arguement. This is kind of serious lol

If you are using the phone heavily for work, I would say go with the Bold. If it is just for personal use I think the iPhone might be a better deal, particularly if it is the 3G model.

If your using your phone for mostly work keep your blackberry. I'm an iPhone guy myself so my opinion is biased lol. You can't do MMS on the iPhone either.

i LOVE the video on the bold- as in ABSOLUTELY love it. I wanted to get the storm but meeeh changed my mind since they told me the bold is better. But i have a thing for apple products so i wanted the iphone but the phone i played with at the store i had an issue with bc i have LONG ass nails and it wouldnt respond to it- just the touch. but yeaaaaah i dunno ..... i think i might just keep the bold and then eventually transfer back to an htc phone. i have an obsession with htc touch phones.... they are BEYOND amazing.

The iPhone doesn't respond to fingernails Queeny so that might not be the phone for you but all HTC phones do. You might wanna look at the the HTC touch diamond or the HTC touch pro.

The Blackberry Storm has been getting bad reviews so we will see how that goes.

Keep you Bold IMO the iPhone has alot of upside but trust me you'll hate not being able to touch and navigate through the phone without using your fingernails.

my cousin just got the storm after having the 8830WE for a year and he loves the storm... im getting mine in January... i also have the 8830 world ed. and i love it... cant wait for the storm... plus 8gb internal memory and all that jazz... im excited for when i finally get one cuz i love blackberry phones

how do you think blackberries generally compare to iphone???

ive been doing some research on this and the bold and the iphone are tied in almost everything, except the browser which iphone is better and the video which bold is better. ...

This site gives a good comparison to the bold, storm, pearl, and curve. As far as the Storm vs Bold, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I was at the mall the other day checking out the new Storm, and it was sick as fuck. Turning it sideways and typing with the whole screen clicking, and the sound is awesome!

I might just pick the Bold over the Storm with the simple fact that the Bold has massive internal memory. 1 gb! Compare that to 128mb for the Storm. Which means more room for apps without having to worry about your phone deleting your text messages, calender appointments, and call logs to make more room.

As for myself, I am happy with my Pearl right now. I love its size. I got tired of carrying around my clunky Treo.

I'm with you Icey. My Touc does everything. but it's acting dumb so i'm gonna have to run by a Sprint store tommorrow and either get a new one or get them to fix this one. Shit won't hold a charge at all and it won't charge in my car or with the wall plug I have to use my laptop for it to charge right.

i had the shity samsung phone, which i had for a year then i got the HTC touch with telus, then after that i changed telus to bell and got the instinct, then i HATED it so i went and got the HTC with bell. then i told bell to fuck themselves and switched to rogers and got the blackberry curve which DID NOT WORK and then finally i got the bold and i intent on staying here for a WHILE- unless i switch it with the iphone which i dont think ill do lol

and yaaa your phone like SPLATEEEREEEDD all over the mall that day it was soooo bad im surprized the screen didnt crack

and of ALL the phones i had BY far my faves were the htc and the bold.

my FIRST htc touch ( i had 2) was PERFECT. i NEVER once had ANY issues. it functioned BEYOND perfectly and i loved it with my fucking LIFE- literally. I lost it one day and i thought i lost my entire life with it then my amazing boyfriend went out of his way to find it ehehehe then i got the SECOND htc touch and it had a MILLION problems- calls never came in, neither did texts, it froze, it turned off on its own... like i HATED that one .... and thats when i went to get the bold. I loved the htc the first time SO much i switched phone companies and got the same damn phone! lol

I was all set to switch carriers to get the iPhone a couple months ago. Then the saleswoman told me that I should wait for the BB Storm. I waited, test-drove one on Saturday, and I pretty much hate it. So I'm back to square one...I'm getting an iPhone this week...

what didnt you like about the bb storm? i didnt like that there's no way to select w.o clicking the screen... but that's about it... but it could work to an advantage cuz it prevents you from punching the wrong crap and stuff... if u get what i mean

i like the look of the bold... i got to tinker with the storm yesterday and i like it... its not as easy and self-explanatory as the iphone, but its not hard... only thing i dont like is verizon's policies, you cant use wifi, and download just anything on the phone...

yeah the more i got to play around with it, my main complaint is that you HAVE to click the screen... like u cant turn it off... id rather just touch it... its like they made the screen for 10 year olds who are learning how to spell or something or old people who have unsure hands... i dont like how u cant stretch/shrink the screen by just using your fingers... the wifi thing is a verizon problem not a blackberry thing, there are blackberries with wi-fi but verizon is dumb when it comes to that... i hope the next generation of the phone is much improved and they consider getting rid of the click screen and make it more free to do stuff with your hands... its like the only purpose of touch screen is to take the place of the track ball... that's all it does, you still have to adjust stuff by pushing buttons and stuff... id actually consider getting the bold over this, when it finally gets to verizon...

It's going to be hard for any celluar phone company to produce a touch screen phone with the capabilities of the iPhone for the simple fact that apple has so many patents on alot of products used in the iPhone it's self.

With that said your not going to see a touch screen phone that can rival the iPhone in a long time.
