I know what Christmas use to mean when I was a kid(many many moons ago). so what significance does Christmas have now since we are all grown up......

oh ye and the birth of Jesus and all that but mainly FOOD.

THE PHRASE "XMAS" IS BASICALLY TRYING TO TAKE THE "CHRIST" OUT OF CHRISTMAS.....I NEVER PRONOUNCE CHRISTMAS AS "XMAS"....CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT BEING WITH FAMILY AND CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF JESUS AND BEING THANKFUL YOU MADE IT THROUGH ANOTHER YEAR

Christmas is about food to me (the fact I love to cook) family getting together fussing, fighting but still loving each other. God is also foremost to me in Christmas(life period) and can't forget decorations, my wife loves to decorate..

Christmas is supposed to be about the celebration of the birth of Baby Jesus born in the manger and the three wisemen came and showered him with gifts.

Nowadays it is just another excuse for family and friends to get together and spend money on presents and run over employees at Wal Mart.

Yeah Christmas is just another holiday to get you to buy shit you don't need, like Valentine’s Day :lol: being with your family and seeing smiles on your children's faces is the only enjoyable part, but that all gets lost in how shallow the idea has become

Just another holiday...EASTER is where it's at if you're a christian...I do enjoy the festive mood of the season...plus the fact my industry slows down during this time of the year
