I really like the Western squad, but I would take David West off this year and put Al Jefferson in his spot. That would probably be Carmelo's spot if he wasn't injured right now, though.

As for the Eastern squad, Allen Iverson doesn't deserve a spot on the team, much less being a starter. It's questionable if he should be coming off the bench instead of Rip Hamilton right now.

Mo Williams deserves a spot on the team more than Iverson. Cleveland deserves more than one player to be an All-Star.

Word to Danny Granger and Devin Harris making their first appearances... they are both playing incredible ball this season. Great to see Chauncey and The Spanish Fro on the Western squad as well.

the east is always the better squad. i'm picking lebron to be the MVP for the 3rd time. and my dude AI deserves to be on the team. if the pistons knew how to COACH around him, then his numbers would be higher. but because they dumb ass don't know how to adjust to a superstar go-to-guy (which they haven't had in a LONG time), AI's numbers r where they r. they knew what they was getting when they brought AI in, they were getting a go-to-guy who is a GREAT scorer. so far, they've SUCKED at adjusting to him. HORRIBLE coaching.

from 1999 to 2005 the west CLEARLY had the better squad....duncan shaq and garnett all in their prime WHAt? the east never matched up to that.

no, Iverson hasn't been playing All-Star level ball this season. He's still a GOOD player but he's far from the "go-to-guy" he was in Philly. I will give Iverson some credit though, he's been playing better defense since when he first arrived, but he's still a defensive liability. Detroit needed to shake things up anyways, so I still approve the move because things were getting stale. Billups has multiple years left on his contract, while Iverson's contract is off the books by the end of the year if they choose not to resign him. Same with 'Sheed, who I think will probably retire at season's end. I hope Iverson and the rest of the Pistons have a good playoff run in them because they're looking at a number 4 seed at best. You never know how a veteran squad will respond in the playoffs. It's great to see Billups flourish in his hometown, he looks rejuvenated with the Nuggets. He's playing at the level he was in 2005.

Michael Curry has done a terrible job so far... his rotations are seriously suspect. There's no way Maxiell should be getting the same minutes Amir Johnson is getting, he gives maximum effort every single time he is on the court. Unbelievable that Kwame Brown is getting 4 million from the team as well. Curry has looked overmatched at times this year when handing a dry-erase board to assistant coach Darrel Walker during some timeouts to handle Xs and Os. They should have just allowed Flip Saunders to complete his contract this season.

*CP3 is one of the most complete point guards I have ever seen play the game*
