Now in the future - if we could- let's avoid getting the incredibly successful rapper/entertainer with little to no education to advocate to children how important school is. Here's how I imagine the exchange takes place in the mind of youth enamored with hip hop:
Rapper:
"Hey kids, my name is Weezy F-please-say-the-you-know, and I'm here to talk to y'all about education. See, when I was your age I was a real *****, so I was like 'fuck school get money'! I dropped out in like 8th grade... I wish I had stayed in school and had been less of a real ***** getting money, cause look at me now."
Student:
"Are you homeless? Poor?"
Rapper:
"Hell naw lil ***** I'm rich as a muthafucka. I have more money than all of your teachers combined, ya momma, ya daddy - if you knew that ***** you'd know he broke - basically I got mo money than everybody. I just bought the sun lil *****. The SUN. Think about that."
Student:
"...Well, your quality of life must be terrible. People must look down on you for not finishing school."
Rapper:
"What you mean, like bitches? Trust me homeboy, all them lil freaks them pointdexter ass *****s that be all in the library readin' and shits you know, 'bettering themselves' - you know them *****s!!! HAAAH... All the hoes they dreaming 'bout but will never ever get wit-- them hoes want me! My baby mama was in a movie. That's my baby mama! That's the bitch I don't want! But its not just about the bitches tho... My whole life is quality. ***** I be traveling *****, private jets and shit... I was just up in Cabo *****... Turks & Cacos... That's some ol' fancy overseas shit *****. Your uppity ass teacher ain't never been out the state. I had dinner wit Obama. Last week. He says hi. Did you know I make more money than the President? ***** Barry - that's what I call Barack cause we close - was in school mad long tho... And I make more money than his learn-ned ass, haha. I got fans all over the world and shit... Man, shit is sweet! But listen, I really wish I hadn't dropped out of school like a real ***** in 8th grade, became a rapper and got famous at 14. So get your education *****s! Don't be like me y'all... you know, all rich and shit."
Student:
"Fuck you fags and this school shit, I quit. Thanks Weezy."
Rapper:
"No problem niglet. 2+2 still equal 4... 4 or 5. It equal some shit."
