My neice and nephew are missing and possibly in danger at the hands of their own mother. My brother, Terry, divorced from his ex-wife Carmen over 4 years ago, they had a 50/50 joint custody agreement in place in Houston, TX up until 2006 when Carmen picked up the kids without notice and left town.
Carmen has since been telling people that my brother abused her when they were married, and that's why she's running from him. But not only does she not have a shred of evidence to support her accusations, but my brother taped all of his phone conversations with her during their divorce and she made it perfectly clear that she was lying in court to get free legal aid and sympathy. After the divorce was settled years and years ago, a joint custody agreement was in place that seemed to be working fine up until around March 2006 when she found out that Terry was going to marry his then-current (http://thafam.net/showthread.php?t=18345#)girlfriend. That's when she decided to unlawfully take the kids and leave town.
Since March 2006 the kids, Autumn and Christopher, haven't been enrolled in school. They have bounced from place to place. They were last seen in Atlanta, GA in Cobb County. There are several warrants out for her arrest in Texas and in Georgia. Carmen is known to fabricate stories in order to garner sympathy from others. She is expected to be bipolar and may be self-medicating.
My brother is desperate to get them back and get them back in school and on with their lives, but his ex-wife is out of touch with reality and a danger to herself and her children.
