Nas was a little more street I think with If I Ruled the World. Jay-Z greatest work came later on.

This is a retardedly simple pick. It's not even fair. I can't believe your putting Jay-Z's masterpiece up against It Was Written. Illmatic would have my nod, but not It Was Written against this beast. Reasonable Doubt all day. Politics As Usual is my song too.

At the time, I would have said "It Was Written." I was just not feeling Jay's whole persona at first. It took my another 2 years to understand where Jay was coming from on "Reasonable Doubt," but definitely became one of my favorites of all time once I did.

This is no contest to me....Reasonable Doubt.

As much as I love It Was Written.....Reasonable Doubt is one of my all time favorite albums.

Reasonable Doubt should be renamed "The Blueprint" as most artists follow the script of this CD!!

It Was Written doesn't hold up to RD!
