Timeframe: Since the inception of the market, around late 90s/early 2000.
Qualifications: Model has to have done a major music video and been on the cover of a major urban magazine, like King or BlackMen.
Judging Criteria: Not who you personally like the best, but the ones that have had the most covers, SSX issues, been talked about the most on board, influenced the market, etc.
To me, the list has to break down like this, in no particular order:
1. Melyssa Ford
2. Vida Guerra
3. Esther Baxter
4. Buffie the Body
5. Angel aka Lola Lov
I don't see any way around this list. You can debate Vida's "urbanity" all you want, but she's had more SSX issues than anyone I can recall and she has definitely been posted on this board more than enough.
It kills me to put Angel on that list, but that's just the way it goes.
