Can One Person Change the World.... ?!?!

During class this morning we had a very interesting discussion on this topic, I was hoping we could discuss it here as well.

Do you beleive 1 person can change the world? If so how? If no, why not?

If possible, please give an example of 1 person who may have brought about "change" to the world.

Mohamed the founder of Islam. He brought about a new religion, true it is based on Judaic beliefs, but he also implemented his own based on the "visions" he had.

Islam.... is a world wide religion...as it is practiced by its followers.

Another example.... Oprah. She came from humble beginnings, but in her way she has made quite a name for herself, and touched many lives, here in the US, and now through her school in South Africa.

Any other examples you may think of?

no. in order for something positive to happen everyone has to work together. and changing the world and making a diffrence are two totally diffrent tings...Oprah helps to make a diffrence, she certantly did not change the world.
