We all know that childhood obesity is on the rise, do you think that the schools should implement a system to address the issue such as nutritional classes, changing the menu of the school lunches and providing cardio courses to the kids?

At what age should they start?

What is the responsibility of the parent? If you are a parent what types of physical activities do you "ENGAGE" in WITH your child? How many times a week do you do so?

The main thing is just getting kids off of their asses!! I visit schools weekly and I saw the saddest sight in a Phys. Ed. class...NOTHING! The school removed the actual course and replaced it with Study Hall to improve the school's test scores. Then when the kids get home they jump on the computer or video games. As far as nutrition goes, fast food is way too accessible in most neighborhoods.. a whole roasted chicken costs less than a #1 at BK's but you have to go inside the store. It's a combination of things that have to change in order for the next generation is to survive.
