What in your opinions are the pros and cons of the above?
If you had the choice/chance which would you prefer for your child(ren)?
How do you think "home schooling" may benefit a child?
Any other thoughts?

Home school kids gets their ass kick or handed to them when they leave there home. Learning how to deal with your peers is a education in itself, if you don't have it you will suffer one way or another. Look at it like this, your home school for the most part of your life, now it's time for college, you may know your book alright but you don't know how to handle confrontations, girls, peer pressure etc, he or she will be taken advantage of .....I've seen it happen.

:iagree: It may be safer, but the child misses out on acquiring valuable people skills...

I agree with everyone else that you miss out on people skills,
but a kid might be able to make up for it at the playground.
I wouldn't want my child home-schooled, but it's safer and
your child receives one-on-one instruction. I can't think of
any other pros.
I'm sure someone on this site has had some home-schooling.
